Hobbiton Day Tour

 

Enjoy a fascinating guided tour of the movie sets from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit - the largest green set in the world. 

Thursday 12 November         
Group 1:  Depart 7:15am, Return 4:45pm
Group 2:  Depart 8:30am, Return 6:00pm   
Guests to supply meeting organisers with any dietary requirements they may have.      

 

ITINERARY

Departure time:  Guests to meet at the Registration Desk at Aotea Centre.

Morning:  Depart Auckland and drvie through 'middle-earth' to the movie set from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. On arrival at Shire’s Rest you will embark on your Hobbiton movie set tour. You will see 44 hobbit holes including Bilbo's house, Bag End, the Mill and double arch bridge and the Party Tree. At this stunning location we suggest taking a photo at the door of Bag End, looking out over the whole of Hobbiton to the hills in the distance.

Afternoon:  The tour will conclude with a visit to the Green Dragon Inn where you will enjoy an ale, cider or ginger beer and lunch in the marquee alongside the Green Dragon Inn before returning to Auckland. 

Return time:  Arrival back at Auckland ferry terminal. Guests to make their own way to their accommodation.

 

INCLUSIONS

Per person prices include road transport, driver, tour manager, admission and guided tour of Hobbiton, a drink at the Green Dragon Inn, buffet lunch (mains and desserts), bottled water and New Zealand Goods and Services Tax at 15%.    

Guests to pay directly on the day for all other beverages that they have with lunch.
