NZL40 Match Racing on Waitemata Harbour

 

Take the helm and off you go! No sailing experience necessary! Feel the thrill of sailing an authentic America’s Cup yacht. Take the helm to help steer or work hard on the grinders to hoist the mainsail during this hands on sailing adventure on Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour.     

Wednesday 11 November                                    
Depart 8:15am, Return 1:30pm    
Guests to supply meeting organisers with any dietary requirements they may have.      

 

ITINERARY

8:15am:  Guests to meet at the Registration Desk at Aotea Centre.

8:30am:  Depart Aotea Centre bound for the Viaduct Basin.

Morning:  Relax with the wind in your face as you sit back and chat to the professional crew about the techniques, tactics and principles of sailing these boats and then get involved on the grinders, steer from the helm and find out what it takes to get one of these race yachts moving.    

Lunch:  Enjoy lunch at a restaurant in the Viaduct Basin and at your leisure visit the New Zealand Maritime Museum. Guests to make their own way to their accommodation at their leisure. 

 

INCLUSIONS

Per person prices include road transfer from Aotea Centre to Viaduct Basin, tour manager, 2 NZL40 yachts (private charter for 2 hours match racing experience), lunch (mains and desserts), bottled water, entry to New Zealand Maritime Museum and New Zealand Goods and Services Tax at 15%.      

Guests to pay directly on the day for all beverages they have with lunch.

NZD $385pp, based on a minimum of 40 people.
